A real classic: JUWEL RIO 125 Aquarium

The RIO 125 is the smallest aquarium in the RIO range. With its compact surface area of 81 x 36 cm and classic rectangular design, the RIO 125 will fit perfectly into any design scheme.
Its safety base frame ensures especially safe positioning and allows you to set up your aquarium easily, with no need for special supports.
Painstaking workmanship from Germany, top-quality materials and perfectly tuned technology guarantee the very best of quality and safety, meaning a long service life for your RIO 125.

A treat for the eyes: the JUWEL High-Lite T5 lighting system

Brilliant luminosity and excellent plant growth are what you get with High Lite, the state-of-the-art T5 lighting technology from JUWEL. The length of the High-Lite fluorescent tubes is individually adjusted to the size of your JUWEL aquarium, which guarantees even luminosity for your RIO 125 with a power input of 2x28 Watt.
The High-Lite lighting system for the RIO 125 means that you can work on your aquarium in comfort, even when the lighting is switched on.
The ultrasonically welded lighting unit is 100% waterproof, complies with top European safety standards and is TÜV/GS certified.

Bioflow 3.0 filter system and heater

For optimum filtering, the RIO 125 is fitted with a high-performance Bioflow 3.0. This internal filter combines efficiency with safety and forms the centrepiece of any JUWEL aquarium. It works on the principle that "The water should stay in the aquarium!" and is the safest way of filtering an aquarium. The Bioflow 3.0 comes fitted with five high-performance filter media and a quiet yet powerful Eccoflow 600 circulation pump.
The 100 Watt JUWEL adjustable heater, which is perfectly embedded in the water circulation in the Bioflow 3.0 filter system, ensures the right temperature in the RIO 125.
Because it uses top-quality silver contacts and shock-proof borosilicate glass, JUWEL adjustable heaters meet the highest standards in both function and safety and, as you would expect, are TÜV/GS certified.

1. What guarantee comes with my JUWEL Aquarium?

We guarantee all of our products for 2 years from the date of purchase. Filter sponges and fluorescent tubes as well as all components that are subject to normal wear, e.g. the impeller of the pump, are excluded from the guarantee. Any guarantee claim must be substantiated with a valid proof of purchase.

2. Should I place anything between the Aquarium and cabinet?

NO. The JUWEL aquarium includes a safety base frame which ensures an even distribution of the weight. The use of any support material between the aquarium and cabinet will invalidate your guarantee.

3. How do I start up my aquarium correctly?

Set up the aquarium in accordance with the instructions for use and assemble the filter. Please ensure the correct positioning of the filter media as shown on the packaging of the filter display box. Remove all plastic packaging from the filter media (carbon sponge, poly pad, Nitrax sponge and optional Cirax/Phorax basket). If you wish to fit backgrounds or filter covers into your aquarium now is the best time to do this. Then place your chosen substrate into the base of the aquarium along with any plants and other decorative items that you have selected, e.g. stones and roots. Then, fill the aquarium with water. Hint: Fill the aquarium through the filter box in order to minimise the disturbance of your décor. Once the aquarium is up and running and the temperature has stabilized consult your specialist retailer on how to mature your filter ready for live stock. The Filter needs bacteria to colonize within the sponges to make it safe for the introduction of Livestock. "
